pMethod and device for transferring graphical models, animated cartoon texts, subtitles or the like onto positive cinematographic films. A mask comprising the inscription or drawing to be transferred is prepared in the form of a transparent inscription on an opaque background. The mask is illuminated by means of a high-energy laser beam and the beam which passes through the mask transfers the inscription onto the film by way of a suitable optical device.
