Installation comprises a combustion chamber within a cylindrical chamber wall and supported on columns. A number of burners arranged in the chamber bottom are each provided with gas outlet orifices connected to a common gas supply line. Each burner comprises a tubular outer wall and a number of orifices which are regularly spaced adjacent to this wall and connected to the (central) supply tube via respective branches thereof. A steam supply nozzle is arranged adjacent to each orifice and is connected to a common steam supply line. Used as a burner in a combustion chamber for burning-off waste gas. The arrangement ensures uniform and clean combustion of the gas by eliminating disturbances due to combustion of gas from individual orifices affecting that fed by other orifices.
