ABSTRACTIn a method for pulling a heavy cable into a cableduct, cable holders of which the configuration is adapted tothe cross-section of the cable duct are secured to thecables at regular spacings, The cable is pulled into thecable duct by means of a draw wire which is secured to thecable holders and/or to the cable. The draw wire is thenanchored at both ends under a tensile stress. In this way,the cable itself is no longer subjected to a tensile stresswhen it is being pulled into place, and the cable is heldat a spacing from the inside wall of the cable duct bymeans of the cable holders.
