Interurban transportation system consisting of a set of several electric cars on pneumatic tyres, in which each car, only the first being occupied by a driver, comprises two sets of steerable and driving wheels. The steering wheel of the first car - at the same time as controlling the movements of the wheels of the said car - records these movements in a memory (8) situated in the following car, in such a way that the same movements are executed at the appropriate time and at the appropriate place by this car. A memory in a following car makes use of a steering wheel for itself, in other words for its wheels, and at the same time controls a writing of information into the memory of the car following it, and so on.
