The drive system has a two-shaft gas turbine (1) with travel and steering gears. The gas turbine comprises a compressor (2), with a travel drive comprising a connecting line (10) between the working turbine shaft (8) and two steering differentials (12,12'). The steering drive system comprises a neutral shaft (17) driven by an oil motor (21). Variable volume oil pumps (22,23) are driven from the compressor shaft (3) via drive line (14) and from the working turbine shaft via another drive line (24). The oil pumps (22,23) supply pressurised oil to the oil motor (21). The pumps are steplessly adjustable by a steering element (15).
