Arrangement for the combustion of high-viscosity heating oils in pressure atomisation burner plants

The invention relates to an arrangement which enables high-viscosity heating oils with a pour point above the ambient temperature to be burnt in pressure atomisation burner plants, especially for small throughput quantities. The aim of the invention is to convey, atomise and ignite high-viscosity heating oils, and to ensure a safe operation, with lowest possible constructional complexity and energy consumption, in pressure atomisation burner plants. The object is achieved in that the construction elements (pumps, preheaters, nozzle stem) are connected together with automatic, pressure-dependent valve and a solenoid valve via ducting in the stated sequence to form a ring system in the pump circuit. An auxiliary heating unit, consisting of electrical heating conductors which abut in a thermally conductive manner on the construction elements of the oil circuit, provides for heating the oil to the operating temperature, a temperature monitor arranged on one of the construction elements and built into the circuit of the pump motor preventing switching on of the pump motor before flowability of the oil has been reached.
