The craft is fitted with external water tight compartments, one on each side of the vessel. Each compartment is arranged to take the vertical support (10) of a wheel shock absorber (5). The shock absorber is integral with the support which is pinned to the hull by a pivot (9). The wheel has a pneumatic tyre and the wheel assembly may be treatcted into the compartment on the outside of the hull. An alternative arrangement allows for the removal of the wheel assembly.
