An oscillating depositor drum contains a diametral cylinder in which a piston is retracted to draw in a measure of dough from a supply hopper. With the drum displaced to a discharge position, the piston is advanced to deliver the dough. One arm of an "S"-shaped bell crank lever presses against a piston rod roller positively to retract the piston. The required pivotal motion of the bell crank lever is derived from contact of its other arm with a roller projecting the transversely from the connecting rod crank wheel.
