High security door lock with full height bolt - uses electric motor driven mechanism to move full door height bolt into receiving slot in frame

The high security door lock has an enclosure with a single bolt having a height equal to the height of the door. A latch is fixed to the door frame and provided with a slot along its full height, and a mechanism moves the bolt into the latch slot. The mechanism has a pinion motor driving a second pinion which meshes with both a rack cut in the top face of the bolt and with a second vertical rack which meshes with gears coupling to the lower face of the bolt to drive it evenly back and forward. The pinion motor is actuated by a control signal from a user control panel.
