THE INVENTION RELATES TO A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING AN ANIONIC ACYLIUM DERIVATIVE FROM CARBON MONOXIDE, ANHYDROUS ACID AND AN ORGANIC COMPOUND SUSCEPTIBLE OF ADDITION OF CARBON MONOXIDE; ANIONIC DERIVATIVE OF ACYLIUM, FOR EXAMPLE ISOBUTYRYL FLUORIDE, IS FORMED BY REACTION OF CARBON MONOXIDE, OF AN ORGANIC COMPOUND FOR EXAMPLE PROPYLENE, AND OF ANHYDROUS HYDROFLUORIC ACID IN A LIQUID MIXTURE OF CARBON CARBON INTRODUCTION AND THE ORGANIC COMPOUND IN THE VAPOR PHASE OF THE LIQUID MIXTURE WHICH IS HELD ABOVE SUPERCRITICAL TEMPERATURE, PRACTICALLY AT THE REACTION RATE OF CARBON MONOXIDE, ORGANIC COMPOUND AND ANHYDROUS ACID, UNDER DETERMINED CONDITIONS.
