摘要

PURPOSE:To maintain good pattern separating function even for similar pattern having much overlapping by short term self-organizing by providing feedback type suppressive connection in addition to connection of forward direction provided between information processing layers. CONSTITUTION:Stimulative and suppressive forward direction connection is provided between layers and feedback type suppressive connection is added forming a pair with stimulative connection of forward direction. Three information layers u2-u4 are in cascade arranged after an input layer u1 to which a pattern ''A'' is inputted. Forward direction stimulative variable connection (a) between stimulative nerval element in minute area of preceding step layer corresponding successively to stimulative nerval element of each information processing layer and feedback type suppressive variable connection (b) are provided successively. In strengthening connection between nerval elements, only input side connection of nerval element that formed maximum output in connection variable area or nerval element that showed best reaction is strengthened.
