The medicine cabinet comprises a rectangular box with a front door panel made of plastics material. A set of pushbuttons is provided on the door, so that in order to open the lock combination of four buttons must be pressed in sequence. The code of the combination may be reset. The buttons are large to make them easy for a handicapped person to use. - The battery operated electronic circuit of the cabinet includes a comparator checking the entered 4-digit code, and a timer which prevents a code being entered within ten seconds of a previous attempt. A warning signal is sounded while the cabinet is open.
