The tensioning device consists of a slide with a trolley. The trolley carries a clamp for the rigging. The clamp consists of a pair of side jaws tightened by means of a lever wedged against the side rail. The trolley is positioned by an hydraulic jack acting at the end of the rod and having a constant pressure from an accumulator. The jaws are fitted with a quick release lever which is operated manually. Additional tension on the rigging will cause the hydraulic cylinder rod to move.
