ONNLINE RECOGNITION SYSTEM FOR MANUSCRIPT

PURPOSE:To establish the unit which can recognize characters with the recognized components and the characters modified easily coping with the increase in characters, by providing the character input unit recognizing each stroke of characters and the character recognition unit recognizing the components corresponding to the constitution of characters. CONSTITUTION:The stroke of each character is recognized with the character input unit consisting of the tablet 1 writing in characters and the tablet controller 3, the stroke normalized is picked up with the stroke input processor 6 of the on- line character recognizing unit 4, normalized processor 7 and stroke recognition processor 8, and it is determined that the stroke is belonging to any of the reference stroke. Further, the component corresponding to characters is recognized with the component description list 11, element description list 12 and stroke information, character recognition is made based on the component recognized, enabling to recognize the characters modified.
