PURPOSE:To efficiently remove BOD and COD in waste water, by a method wherein a control plate is provided to an aerobic part in a radius direction and a bridge extending to the radius direction from the central part of an aeration tank is rotated while a stirring means is provided to an anaerobic part. CONSTITUTION:Raw waste water treated in a sand precipitating basin 19 is denitrated in a denitration tank 12 and the treated water is flowed into a denitrification tank 11 along with recirculated sewage containing NO3 and nitration/denitrification bacteria from pipe to be subjected to denitrification by denitrification bacteria digesting BOD in the raw waste water as nutritive substance. The greater part of BOD subjected to denitrification and a liquid containing nitration/denitrification bacteria are flooded over a partition wall 13 to be flowed into the nitration tank provided to the outer periphery of the denitrification tank 11 and aerated in an air diffusion cylinder 16 to perform aerobic nitration and the removal of BOD. With respect to aeration in the nitration tank 12, because the air diffusion cylinder 16 is attached to a rotary bridge 15, the retention time of air bubbles in the liquid becomes long and oxygen utilizing degree is enhanced to a large extent.
