METHOD FIR PRODUCING TEST PAPER STRIPES FOR DETERMINING GLUCOSE IN BLOOD

Indicator strips for the quantitative determination of glucose in blood are prepd. by saturating modified cellulose paper strips with a non-aq. soln. of a colour reagent, drying the paper and applying an aq. soln. of gelatin contg. glucose-oxidase and peroxidase, which forms a separate phase on the surface of the cellulose fibres, with the enzyme molecules located in the protein parts of the gelatine.
