Tractor mounted chemical sprayer - has fan and pressure pump delivering into spray pipe containing adjustable bladed rotor

The machine is for spraying a chemical used in pest or weed control etc. having a frame with suspension points (2, 3) for attachment to a tractor implement lifting mechanism. A fan (4) pressure pump and storage tank (6) for the chemical are mounted on the frame, the fan having an adjustable end cowling, whose outlet (8) is connected to a spray pipe (9). A rotor with adjustable blades is mounted in the outlet end of the latter. Fan and pump are driven from the tractor power take-off via propeller shaft (11) and pulleys with belts, or other suitable means. The storage tank can be connected to a pipe supplying air from the pump, while a further pipe (18) leads from the tank to a point near the bladed rotor. An adjustable tap (20, 21) and pressure gauge (22) are provided, to regulate pressure in the tank.
