ROOM TEMPERATURE STABLE, HEAT ACTIVATEDORGANOPOLYSILOXANE COMPOSITIONSAbstractOrganopolysiloxane compositions which react by way of ahydrosilylation reaction to undergo an increase in viscosityhave improved resistance to reaction at room temperature(longer pot life) and/or an improved reaction rate atelevated temperature (shorter cure time) than analogouscompositions of the art by incorporating therein anunsaturated hydrocarbon having from 6 to 10 carbon atoms, aterminal acetylenic linkage and an olefinic linkageconjugated therewith. The resulting compositions are usefulfor preparing various cured siloxanes such as resins,elastomers, gels and foams.
