The invention relates to a sampling valve for a coal gasification plant comprising a flue-dust or fluidised-bed pressure reactor, the sampling valve being used to take a liquid or gaseous sample from the crude gas discharged at high temperature. In order to be able to control the operating conditions in an optimum manner, it must be possible to determine the composition of the crude gas at a position as close as possible to the reactor outlet, notwithstanding the high temperature and any high condensable solid content at this point. In order to make sure that this is possible, the sampling valve is to have a heating appliance and/or a flush-cleaning arrangement, the heating counteracting condensation and the flush-cleaning arrangement serving to remove any condensation components which may arise nevertheless.
