PURPOSE:To obtain a storage tank, whose horizontal and vertical distortion need not be restricted, by suspending various piping installations for acceptance and delivery of liquid from the top of the dome of an inside tank in a state where the horizontal and vertical distortion of the pipings is allowed. CONSTITUTION:In the center of the dome 11 of an inside tank 1 made of concrete an opening 12 is set up in order to suspend various piping installations A and staircase installations B for inspection within the inside tank 1. An inside hatch 3 blocks the inside tank 1 to maintain the airtightness, and also allows the horizontal distortion to be generated between the sliding face 34 of the inside hatch 3 and the supporting face 14 of the inside tank 1. The opening 22 of an outside tank 2 is blocked by the use of a blocking plate 24 formed of a circular stainless steel sheet in the same manner as in the case of the inside hatch 3.
