PURPOSE:The titled antibody capable of promoting the bonding of other antibody against other antigenic determinant by bonding to an antigenic determinant having different alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), and enabling the rapid and sensitive immunological determination of AFP. CONSTITUTION:The hybridoma formed by the use of pancreas cell collected from an animal immunized with purified AFP is cultured in a medium to obtain an antibody, and an antigenic determinant recognizing said antibody by sandwich EIA process is examined to obtain a monoclonal anti-AFP antibody recognizing the antigenic determinant having different AFP and promoting the bond of the antibody against other antigenic determinant by bonding the antibody to one antigenic determinant. The amount of AFP existing in a specimen liquid can be determined rapidly in high sensitivity, by the sandwich method, coagulation reaction method, etc. using the antibody and other monoclonal anti- AFP antibody having different determinant. It can be applied to the diagnosis of hepatic cancer and the determination of the therapeutic effect against the cancer.
