METHOD FOR REPAIRING DAMAGED PART OF CORROSION PREVENTIVE COATING LAYER OF STEEL MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To effectively repair the damaged part of a corrosion preventive coating layer by coating the damaged part with a specific repair member and bonding the same under heating and pressure then coating the outside periphery of the repair member with other specific repair member and bonding the same under heating and pressure. CONSTITUTION:A packing material is packed into the damaged part 3 of the corrosion preventive coating layer 2 of a steel material 1 coated with polyolefin to prevent corrosion. The damaged part and the periphery thereof are coated with the repair member 4 disposed with an adhesive agent layer 6 on one side of a crosslinked polyolefin sheet 5 and are bonded under heating and pressure via the adhesive agent layer 6. The outside peripheral part of the member 4 and the neighborhood thereof are coated with thermoweldable polyolefin sheets 8a, 8b, 8c for reinforcement having the softening point higher than the softening of the adhesive agent used for the layer 6 and are bonded under heating and pressure. The member 4 is thereby made free from abnormality such as shifting, peeling and exfoliation even if the member is heated up by the direct exposure to sunlight.
