Heating system for the regenerative heating of a coke ovenbattery having twin heating fluesA b s t r a c t:In a heating system for the regenerative heatingof a coke oven battery having twin heating flues extendingtransversely of battery length, the halves of each fluebeing separated from one another by a midfeather, a spacebeing left at the top thereof, and a midfeather extendingright up to the oven crown is disposed between any two twinflues, the regenerators which extend below the oven soletransversely of the battery communicating by way of passageswith the heating flues and extending thereinto at differentheights, two regenerators being associated with each twinflue, three passages extend from each regenerator (a, b,c, d), a first passage (8) extending to the bottom part ofone half (3, 4) of one twin heating flue, a second passage(9) extending to the bottom part of the adjacent half (3,4) of the adjacent flue, the same being separated by amidfeather (5) which extends right up to the oven crown,a third passage (10) of the two regenerators rising in thelast-mentioned midfeather (5) and so branching as toextend into the adjacent halves (3, 4) of adjacent twinflues above the oven sole.Figure 1.Wording on drawings:Fig. 1.
