Abstract of the DisclosureA copier has an exposure platen on which a selectedside of a sheet is images exposed for copying. For usewith the copier, a recirculating sheet feeder removes sheets,stacked selected side upwardly, one at a time in successionfrom the stack bottom. Each sheet is fed in a single directionalong a loop-like path, depositing selected side downwardlyon the platen for exposure and returning selected side downwardlyto the stack top. Consequently, an operator can load amulti-page document into the recirculating feeder beforeexposure, and remove it after exposure, with the pagesarranged in a naturally appearing or rightside up orientation.Owing to the efficient compact design of the feed path, andby maintaining the sheet feeding members continuously inmotion during sheet movement along the feed path, therecirculating feeder is capable of a relatively highrecirculating speed.
