Friction-driven flat-rolling stand for the flat rolling of hard wires in wire-drawing machines

The production of flat wires for cable production or the like employs two techniques. On the one hand, the round wire of relatively thick diameter is drawn thinner on multiple wire-drawing machines and, in a second operation, the round wire is rolled flat on a flat-wire rolling plant. By using a plurality of in-line friction-driven flat-wire stands (Fig. 4) in series which are arranged ahead of the withdrawal pulley 3 in the drawing machine (Fig. 1), and by virtue of their individual-block arrangement (Figs. 3 + 4) and the central guidance 10 employed in the required number, the flat wire is produced at high speed, the individual flat-wire stands (Fig. 4) being preset individually and draw-in rolls (Fig. 5) ensuring the possibility of rapid drawing in of the flat wire.
