The invention relates to an actuation device for a blocking device on bolt mechanisms of automatic centre buffer couplings on rail vehicles. The object of the invention consists in increasing the operational reliability, guaranteeing the functional reliability of the bolt mechanism under all circumstances and avoiding additional manoeuvres of the operator. According to the invention, the object is achieved in that a locking lever which can be actuated by means of the handle for actuating the air shut-off cock blocks the pointer with its locking face and thus blocks the coupling bolt in its locked end position. In this way, a sequence of manoeuvres for operators for uncoupling or coupling is compulsorily specified.
