This cable is provided with means 8 for create a light signal and inject that - in one of the stiffener of an optical fiber 3 of the cable 2, pressure sensors 16 disposed at intervals along the cable; the means associated with sensors, each associated with means being capable, in response to a reaction of the sensor which is associated, to modify, at the location of the detection, the intensity of an application being propagated in the optical fiber; and means for echometry 9 in order to generate, at the level of the end of the fiber, a representation of a light signal backscattered by this fibre, when the signal injected spreads, in order to locate, we shall now describe a loss of pressure of the cable in sensing and in noting the singularities of the representation, the resultant of the action of said means combined.
