Device functionally and aesthetically improving the filtering of air necessary for the intake of an endotracheal cannula. The invention relates to an exotracheal device which is removable and can be fitted onto an endotracheal cannula 6-7, is functional for any position of the patient, and is formed of a rigid, undeformable, sterilisable and non-allergenic material. It is constituted at the back by a support base fixed to the neck by a chain and blocked between the cannula and the chuck by means of the bar of the cannula 1, which base is drilled with an upper orifice 4 for this attachment, and with a lower orifice corresponding to the cannula orifice. The anterior part snaps onto the front of this base 8 and is separated from it by a rim 9-16 and fixed by lateral clips 10-17. Its anterior face is a filtering grid 14 which may receive a pushbutton 13 which can move in the anterior-posterior direction possibly allowing phonation if surgery still allows it. The device according to the invention is intended for tracheotomised people to improve the functioning of the endotracheal cannula. IMAGE
