NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (n is an integer 10-20; X is halogen; R is nonionic hydrophilic group). USE:An adsorbing and desorbing agent of oxygen in aqueous systems or catalyst for oxygen addition reaction utilizing micelles or liposome fields, capable of uniformly dispersing and solubilizing in an aqueous solution containing a small amount of surfactant or phospholipid and embedded in a large amount in micelles or liposomes and having good orientation property in hydrophilic and hydrophobic regions of the micelles and lipopsomes. PREPARATION:For example, a tetraalcohol derivative expressed by formula II is reacted with methanesulfonyl chloride in the presence of a base, preferably triethylamine in dichloromethane to give a mesyl derivative expressed by formula III. For example, if R is formula IV (m is an integer 1-10), the resultant mesyl derivative is reacted with K or Na salt of the compound expressed by formula V to afford porphyrin expressed by formula VI, which is then reacted with ferrous bromide in the presence of a small amount of pyridine in anhydrous THF to introduce iron into the compound expressed by formula VI.
