SHUTTER MECHANISM FOR COMPACT DISK CARTRIDGE

PURPOSE:To improve the smoothness and accuracy of the rotation of a shutter plate by rotating a shutter plate against the pressing force of a pressing member accompanying the action to insert a cartridge to a player, exposing a notch and providing a diaphragm at the shutter plate. CONSTITUTION:When a cartridge 10 is inserted into a player in the A direction of an arrow, an engaged part 23 of a shutter 12 is engaged with an engaging part 43 which is an opening and closing mechanism. Further, when the cartridge 10 is shifted in the A direction of an arrow, the shutter 12 is rotated in the left rotating direction with a locking pin 22 as a center against the pressing force of a pressing member 24. On the shutter plate surface, a circular arc diaphragm 30 of the shape concentric to the center of rotation is provided, the strength is increased, the rotation is smoothly executed, the diaphragm is stored into a hollow 17a of a main body part 11 and rotated correctly by the locking pin 22. Thus, by the rotation of the shutter 12, a notch 18 is opened and reproduction can be executed. The compact disk can be completely protected.
