PURPOSE:To record even a dark star on a transparent hemisphere by forming an indication rod and a collimation rod continuously in one body and allowing them to move around the center of the hemisphere as a fulcrum, and emitting light from the upper end of the indication rod and both ends of the collimation rod. CONSTITUTION:The indication rod 5 and collimation rod 7 move freely around the center of the hemisphere 4 as the fulcrum and light is emitted from the upper end 5' of the indication rod 5 and both ends of the collimation rod 7. When this instrument is used, the instrument is installed having a support plate 2 horizontally and the collimation rod 7 is directed to a star to be observed. The collimation rod 7 is so operated as to put both ends of the collimation rod 7 and the star in a straight line. At this time, when the 5' of the indication rod 5 is viewed from outside the hemisphere, 1 it illuminates in a dot shape and indicates the position of the observed star. The point is marked and then the position of the observed star is recorded on the transparent hemisphere 1.
