MEASURING APPARATUS FOR SEARCHING LAYING ROUTE OF POWER CABLE AND TROUBLE POINT

PURPOSE:To simultaneously search a laying route and a trouble point within a short time, by simultaneously inputting a signal with first frequency and a signal with second frequency to a power cable and detecting the magnetic field, which is generated by the power cable, by a magnetic field detection coil. CONSTITUTION:A high frequency transmitter 1 generates a signal with first frequency, for example, of about 10kHz suitable for searching the laying route of a power cable 2 and a signal with second frequency, for example, of about 1kHz suitable for searching the trouble point of the power cable 2 to simultaneously apply both signals to the power cable 2. Because the power cable to which both signals were inputted generates a magnetic field M therearound, said magnetic field M is detected by a magnetic field detection coil 4 to supply the detection signal to a tuner 5. The tuner 5 separates the supplied detection signal into the signal with the first frequency and the signal with the second frequency before amplifies the same. Two separated and amplified signals are respectively supplied to monitors 6A, 6B to be displayed thereon and, by this method, the laying route and the trouble point can be simultaneously detected.
