SPELLING ERROR DISPLAY METHOD FOR ENGLISH DOCUMENT PROCESSOR

PURPOSE:To improve the typing technique of an operator by providing a means which forms and displays the arrangement of characters with which the spelling errors are easily produced based on the contents of a spelling error table and therefore enabling the operator to grasp the trend of those words that cause easily spelling errors. CONSTITUTION:When a request is inputted from a keyboard 1-2 for display of the contents of a spelling error word table 1-6, and desired contents are displayed on a display 1-1. The table 1-6 contains the words having spelling errors, the words having spelling and the emerging frequency of those spelling error words in an input document. A spelling error word table display part 1-12 is started by a correction processing part 1-8 when an operator gives a request through the keyboard 1-2 for display of the contents of the table 1-6. Then the part 1-8 sorts the contents of the table 1-6 by the emerging frequencies of the corresponding words stored in the table 1-6. Then the wrong spelling is compared with its corrected spelling at and after the head word and the spelling error parts are extracted and displayed on the display 1-1 in the form of list.
