TRANSFER FEED METHOD FOR LAMINATED PLATE PREIMPREGNATION

PURPOSE:To continuously prevent preimpregnation (PREPREG) from meandering, by setting a peripheral speed in the central part of a tapered roll to agree with the transfer feed speed of the PREPREG. CONSTITUTION:A tapered roll 9 generates in its central part the largest peripheral speed, and maximum force acts on a part where preimpregnation (PRE PREG) 2 is brought into contact with the central part of the roll. The PREPREG 2, if it meanders generating the displacement to one side part, comes to be pulled to the left side because of a relation where FT1FT2 and FW1FW2. If the center of a feed direction of the tapered roll 9 agrees with the center of the PREPREG, the forces, acting in a width direction of the PREPREG, are balanced because of a relation where FT1=FT2 and FW1=FW2, and the PRE PREG is fed with no deflection being prevented from being more pulled in the width direction. In this way, the PREPREG, if it generates the position displacement in the width direction, is prevented from meandering by continuous action of force immediately returning the PREPREG to its proper position.
