PREVENTION WORK FOR UNEQUAL SETTLEMENT OF STRUCTURE ON SOFT GROUND

PURPOSE:To avoid adverse influences of unequal settlement by a method in which a structure is divided into an upper correcting portion and a lower correcting portion, and the unequal settlement of the upper correcting portion is corrected by an organically combined operation of a meter, an arithmetic controller, and a corrector. CONSTITUTION:A structure is divided into an upper correcting portion M and a lower correcting portion N. The upper correcting portion M is provided with a plurality of correctors C set between the portions M and N, a meter (a) for measuring vertical displacement, etc., at many metering points set in advance, and an arithmetic controller (b) for calculating and control measured values. By using the corrector C such as jack, according to the positive or negative correcting values where the calculation basis of correcting value is the average value of unequal settlement amounts at each metering point, the jack is extended or contracted. Adverse influences of unequal settlement of the ground on buildings can thus be rationally eliminated.
