COLD ROLLING OF METASTABLE AUSTENITE BASED STAINLESS STEEL AND MARTENSITE VALUE DETECTOR USED THEREIN

PURPOSE:To stabilize a mechanical nature, by providing a martensite value detector each on the incoming and outgoing sides of a rolling mill to perform a cold rolling, continuously measuring increase in the martensite value in a steel strip before and after the passage through the rolling mill for each path. CONSTITUTION:A martensite value detector is provided each on the incoming and outgoing sides of a rolling mill and a cold rolling is performed, continuously measuring increase in the martensite value in a steel strip before and after the passage through the rolling mill at each path with the martensite value detectors. This enables actual measurement of variations in the ausform induced martensite value at each path thereby realizing a feedback control eventually enabling automatic control for rolling metastable austenite based stainless steel.
