PURPOSE:To enable to improve the workability of a fusion-bonding jig without necessity of skill for the bonding work by disengaging the engagement of the ends of a resin top rail held by the tension of an energized spring and press holding the ends in the prescribed attitude. CONSTITUTION:A fusion-bonding jig is set between the ends of a resin top rail 22, a bonding iron is heated, and the heated iron is inserted into a gap formed between the ends of the top rail 22. Then, the operating rod 8 of engaging means D is operated to disengage the engaging pawl 9 of the rod, and the tension of the energized spring 12 is operated to slide a slide base 3 to a stationary base 1 side. Thus, holding means A are made to be abutted each other to hold the heated iron between the ends of the top rail 22, the ends of the top rail 22 are pressed by the tension of the spring 12, are cooled and are bonded. In this manner, after the bonding, the means A are removed from the engaging groove 23 of the top rail 22, and the jig is then removed.
