CENTER REGULATOR FOR MEMBER CARRIED BY ENDLESS CONVEYOR

An apparatus for the centred alignment of components 37 of different lengths fed on an endless conveyor (roller bed 11) in relation to a pathmark 14 of the endless conveyor (roller bed 11) is to be devised. To this end, a first measuring element 1 is arranged at a distance from the pathmark 14 which is greater than half the length 1max/2 of the longest component 37 to be conveyed and a second measuring element 2 is arranged in the region of the pathmark 14. Both measuring elements 1, 2 record data concerning the length 1 of the component 37 which moves past each of them in a time-delayed manner and pass this data on to a control circuit 3. The latter switches off the drive 4 of the endless conveyor (roller bed 11) and switches on the automatic stacking device 17 when the second measuring element 2 indicates half the length 1/2 of the component 37.
