ERROR CORRECTION ARITHMETIC UNIT WITH TRACK SEARCH FUNCTION IN CD PLAYER

PURPOSE:To provide both an error correction operation function and a track search operation function to a single arithmetic unit without bringing the reduction in the operation function and a large capacity by providing a time information detection means, the 1st, 2nd error correction means, a track search operating means and a control means. CONSTITUTION:A control means 16 operates the 1st and 2nd error correction means 13, 14, when a search instruction detection means 11 detects no track search instruction or a time information detection means 12 detects no time information. When the search instruction detection means 11 detects a track search instruction and the time information detection means 12 detects the time information, the operation of the 1st error correction means 13 is inhibited and the 2nd error correction means 14 and the track search operation means 15 are operated. Thus, both the error correction operation function and the track search operation function are given to the single arithmetic unit without bringing the large capacity and the reduction in the error correction operation function and the track search operation function.
