PURPOSE:To improve the repetitive characteristic of a photosensitive body without deteriorating the sensitivity thereof by incorporating a specific ratio of a low molecular ammonium salt compd. into the photosensitive body and incorporating a polyvinyl formal resin as a binder resin into an electric charge generating material-contg. layer. CONSTITUTION:This electrophotographic sensitive body has at least a layer contg. the electric charge generating material on a conductive substrate 1 and is constituted in order of, for example, an electric charge transfer layer 3, charge generating layer 2 and conductive substrate 1 from the upper layers. The photosensitive body contains =0.1pt.wt. and =50pts.wt. low molecular ammonium salt compd. per 100pts.wt. charge generating material and contains the polyvinyl formal resin as the binder resin in the charge generating material- contg. layer at =50wt% by the total weight of the binder resin. The low molecular ammonium salt compd. is preferably incorporated into the charge generating material-contg. layer and for example, a tetravalent nitrogen-contg. heterocyclic compd. is used.
