PURPOSE:To prevent non-specific hemolysis by simple operation, by using an erythrocyte derived from the same source as serum to be examined as a sensitizing erythrocyte. CONSTITUTION:As a sensitizing erythrocyte, an erythrocyte derived from the same source as serum to be examined, especially, when serum to be examined is derived from a human, a human erythrocyte is used as a reagent to make it possible to stably, accurately and rapidly quantify the antigen or antibody in serum to be examined with high sensitivity without almost generating non- specific agglutination in serum to be examined. As a substance to be examined, there is no special limit if one having the complement capable of being participated in antigen-antibody reaction is used. The erythrocyte is obtained by a usual technique in blood fraction and recovered by centrifugally separating whole blood at 600-1,200G. The erythrocyte is usually stabilized after sufficiently washed by physiological saline and the pref. particle size of the erythrocyte is about 5-15mum. The sensitization of the erythrocyte is performed by adsorbing or bonding an antigen or antibody.
