PREVENTER FOR OVERLOAD TO RACK-AND-PINION TYPE ELEVATOR OF MARINE STRUCTURE

PURPOSE:To prevent overloads to pinion by a method in which a torque meter and a rotation meter are provided to each pinion, and the output conductor of a torque regulating unit is connected to the control cabinet of a motor. CONSTITUTION:By a torque meter 30 and a rotation meter 32 provided to the motor 22 of each pinion 20, the torque of the pinion 20, the engaging position of a rack and the pinion 20, and the turning angle of the shaft of the pinion 20 are detected, and the detected values are sent out to a computer 30. Torque which is previously stored in the computer 30 and can also be shared by each pinion 20 is compared with input value and calculated, and torque value to be regulated is sent out to a torque regulating unit 36. An inverter 38 in the unit 36 is then actuated to regulate each corresponding motor 22.
