PURPOSE:To remove red leaves and soil sticking to white roots without damaging leaf Welsh onions, by providing three or more nozzles almost equally spaced in an annular water supply pipe placed on the inserting inlet of a Welsh onion bundle inserting cylinder and jetting waterdrops in a specific state from the respective nozzles. CONSTITUTION:Three or more nozzles 4 are almost equally spaced in an annular water supply pipe 3 placed on the inserting inlet side of a Welsh onion bundle inserting cylinder 1 to make the jetting form of waterdrops spread to the end and circular cross section. The direction of the respective nozzles 4 is set obliquely inward to concentrate the jetted waterdrops in the central part (0) of the cross section of the Welsh onion inserting cylinder 1. 2-3 skins of the Welsh onions are peeled by the force of the jetted waterdrops concentrated near the white roots thereof to remove collectively red leaves connecting to the epidermis with the peeling of the skins.
