PURPOSE:The titled improver capable of improving adhesiveness to aggregates, etc., to be blended with asphalt and water resistance, suppressing heat sensitive properties and extremely improving hollowing properties of wheel track, comprising modified polyethylene granules having specific physical properties. CONSTITUTION:An improver comprising granules having =2mm, preferably 0.2-2mm average particle diameter obtained by grafting 0.01-10wt% unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or its derivative (preferably maleic anhydride) in the presence of a radical reaction initiator onto a modified polyethylene which contains a carboxyl group and/or a group derived from carboxyl group, has 0.1-100, preferably 0.1-10 acid value, 95-120 deg.C, preferably 100-115 deg.C melting point and 102-105CP, preferably 2X102-2X104CP, such as polyethylene having 7,500-15,000 viscosity-average molecular weight to give a graft polymer and grinding the polymer into granules.
