MEASURING SYSTEM OF SLUDGE CONCENTRATION IN CITY WATER AND SEWERAGE EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To grasp precisely the condition of sludge in a pit at that time by taking out only the measured signals from the time specified hour after the transportation of sludge is started to the time specified hour after the completion for every cycle of the takeout of the sludge with a device for discriminating effective data from the measured data of the sludge concn. CONSTITUTION:The specified amt. of sludge is taken out and transported from a pit 1 by a pump 3 through a takeout pipe 2 for every fixed cycle. Among measured signals which are outputted continuously from a sludge densitometer 5 during the whole period of the operation, only the measured signals outputted in the range of effective time t7 are discriminated as effective and read out to a recorder 7 through a discrimnator 9. Namely, the signals during the time interval t4, wherein the sludge by the takeout action of the preceding cycle may remain in the pipe 2, are discriminated as ineffective and discarded. Meanwhile, the signals during the time interval t5, wherein the condition of the sludge staying in the pipe remains unchanged even after the completion of the takeout action, are discriminated as effective.
