PURPOSE:To process data correctly and rapidly by collecting required number of measuring data only which do not include large errors, and finding the average of the measuring data when the difference between the maximum and the minimum is within the required value in comparison with each other. CONSTITUTION:The multiple measuring data obtained from multiple measurements by a light wave range finder are imput to a memory 4 and data with large error are excluded and a required number of data with no error only are collected. The maximum and minimum of the collected data are compared in a comparator 10 and when that difference is within the required value the average is computed and when that difference is over the required value the data having there maximum and minimum are thrown away and another similar measurement is carried out in order to obtain muasuring data. Average values from an averaging unit 5 are displayed as measuring values on an indicating board 6.
