PURPOSE:To obtain an incipient feed for raising fish having excellent digestion and absorption for young fish, by incorporating one or more of amino acids, vitamins, etc., with an incipient feed raw material for raising fish consisting essentially of hen's egg and/or antarctic krill and freeze-drying and freeze- pulverizing the resultant mixture. CONSTITUTION:An incipient feed for raising fish obtained by preparing an incipient feed raw material for raising fish consisting of an egg, preferably hen's egg, and/or antarctic krill which is obtained by lightly steaming or boiling and inactivating digestive enzyme contained therein, adding and mixing one or more of amino acids, vitamins and minerals with the above-mentioned raw material, and freeze-drying the resultant mixture, preferably emulsion and freeze- pulverizing the freeze-dried feed mixture with liquid N2, desirably at -80--120 deg.C. The amount of the egg to be used is selected from about 10-60% range expressed in terms of the dried material considering other nutrient components. The resultant incipient feed for raising fish can be used for young fish, e.g. sweetfish, sea bream, flatfish, globefish, etc., as an object.
