MANGANESE-COPPER ALLOY PROPELLER FOR SHIP

PURPOSE:To prevent the corrosion of an Mn-Cu alloy propeller in seawater as well as noise and vibration by placing a circular member and a propeller cap each having a lower natural electrode potential in seawater than that of the propeller body and vibration damping capacity at the end of the stern of a ship. CONSTITUTION:A propeller 1 is fixed on a propeller shaft 4 with a nut 5 for fixing to form an Mn-Cu alloy propeller for a ship. A circular member 2 and a propeller cap 3 each made of an Mn-Cu alloy and having a lower natural electrode potential in seawater than that of the propeller body 1 and vibration damping capacity are placed at the end of the stern corresponding to the propeller boss part. Thus, the corrosion of the Mn-Cu alloy propeller 1 in seawater as well as noise and vibration is prevented.
