COAL AND COKE MOISTURE MEASURING DEVICE USING INFRARED- RAY MOISTURE METER

PURPOSE:To improve measurement precision by preventing variations of a measured value due to variations of granularity by measuring the moisture of coal and coke to be measured on the same granularity condition. CONSTITUTION:A sample is picked up by an automatic sample collector 4 (shown by solid line) on a main conveyor 1' and the sample is supplied from the collector 4 (dotted line) having moved onto a chute 2 to a crusher 3 through a belt conveyor 5. The sample crushed to prescribed granularity is supplied to a constant feeder 6 through a belt conveyor 5' and fed onto a belt conveyor 5'' to make the layer height constant by a scraper 7. Then, an infrared-ray moisture meter 8 measures the intensity of infrared rays reflected from the sample surface irradiated at a constant irradiation distance to measure the moisture, which is recorded and displayed.
