SCOURING PREVENTION WORK FOR CAISSON FOUNDATION

PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of scouring during the settling period of caisson by a method in which a caisson with cutting edge is settled along a sheet laid on the bottom under water for preventing scouring, and the sheet is cut off and removed according to the progress of work. CONSTITUTION:Plural sheets 8 having bags 2 incorporated with weights 3 on its both ends for preventing scouring are adjacently laid by lapping the edges of the sheets 8 on the bottom 4 on which a caisson 5 is to be settled under water. The caisson 5 is settled on the sheets 8 and the inside sheet 1 of the sheets 8 is cut off along its lower end 5b by the cutting edge 6. The sheet 1 is removed, together with the weight 3, from the cutting edge 6.
